The Claddagh Ring has been a Gardiff customer for over 20 years, and is one of the most well-known independent Irish pubs in London. Describing themselves as the perfect local pub, they’ve had the same owner for 30 years and offer unbeatable food, extensive sports coverage and a large drink selection.
The Brief
When we were approached to install an EPOS system in the pub, we knew that the system would have to be able to handle the high volume of orders and transactions that the pub received on a daily basis. Gardiff’s team of experts worked closely with the management of The Claddagh Ring to understand their requirements and to design a system that would meet their needs.
The Gardiff Pub EPOS Solution
We installed 8 EPOS terminals across 3 areas with integrated card terminals, making it easier for customers to pay for their orders. using their credit or debit cards. The terminals also allowed the staff to split bills and process refunds quickly and easily, reducing waiting times and improving the overall customer experience.
In addition to the EPOS terminals, Gardiff also supplied kitchen screens for front of house staff and kitchen staff. This ensured that orders were prepared quickly and efficiently, reducing wait times and improving customer satisfaction.
To further enhance the customer experience, Gardiff set up a loyalty card system, which rewarded customers for their loyalty with discounts and other incentives. This not only encouraged repeat business but also helped to build a strong relationship between the pub and its customers.
During the Covid pandemic, The Claddagh Ring was forced to adapt its business model to comply with government regulations. Gardiff helped the pub to set up a self-service online ordering system for Eat-In, as well as a delivery service during lockdown. This allowed the pub to continue serving its customers while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
